Join the Fight!

Collective Action Week

MONDAY 04/03

Visit our informational tables (at your school or online) to learn more and sign our petition and public letter to Lexis. On Monday, October 4th, coalition members from multiple schools will be engaged in direct action. NYU, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and Harvard, among many other schools, will be engaging in direct action at their schools. A part of this collective action week is educating as many people as possible about the issue and how these data-sharing contracts harm some of our most vulnerable community members. Law schools by virtue of these contracts are participating in the everyday harm of immigrants in this country.

TUESDAY 04/04

During the middle of the week, we are encouraging law students to engage in direct action on their respective campuses’ in the form of tabling, passing out flyers, resource sharing, and protesting. Also join part 2 of a virtual training on ICE surveillance and policing.

WEDNESDAY 04/05

Join our national email blast campaign to Lexis and Lexis officials to put pressure on Lexis to end its ICE contract.

THURSDAY 04/06

We are asking everyone involved with the Coalition to participate in a nationwide social media campaign, targeting the executives at Lexis and RELX. The social media blast will take place over multiple platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). Please join our social media campaign to raise awareness of Lexis's data-sharing practices with ICE.

FRIDAY 04/07

Free-for-all Friday: participate in actions near you or put on a demonstration at your school. Friday, April 4 will also focus on publicizing the sign-on letter to law school deans. The Coalition hopes to have as many students, attorneys, and legal professionals sign on as possible.
